Tomos

Information
The
Exhaust on this bike did not line up perfect, and
I had to heat it up on the head pipe a bit to bend it up so the rear
mount
would line up just right. |
I
have welded the pipe solid rather than using the supplied clamp. |
The
throttle cablr goes thru the spring, then the washer, then the slide.
The
bigger carb bowl touches on the engine block where the serial number
plate is. I ground it off with a file so the carb would sit
straight on the manifold. |
Install
the new fuel line, no kinking out!
The
new choke lever is installed on the handlbars |
Premix
or did you hook up the oil injector line? |
To
change the sprocket, Loosen the nut on the cotter, hit a soft hammer
with another hammer to loosen the tapered pin, leave the nut on to help
prevent distorting the threads.
Have
all these parts ?
loosen
the holding tab on the nut, nut is right hand thread.
Hook
the wrench on, and spin the rear tire by hand to loosen nut.
Move
the wheel forward to loosen the chain, then swap the sprocket.
A small amount of trimming may be required to clear the case when using
larger sprockets. Yo can trim the cas with a file, or a dremel
tool
type grinder.
Line
up the tang on the lockwasher when reinstalling, tighten nut firmly.
Fold over lock tab washer.
The
point between the flywheel and the sprocket is where it will touch.
Trim
this section of the outer case to, or you won't be able to get it
back on without the chain rubbing.
Don't
forget the oil pump drive washer! Be carefull aligning the oil pump
drive.
Adjust the rear drive chain and rear brakes.
After breaking
in for 30-40 miles, I wound it out with my freind following me in her
car
to check the speed. I got it up to 50 mph even. The Tomos
will
cruise at 40 easily.

NOTE: Adding any of
these parts
will void your warranty |
